Actress Mridula Oberoi, currently seen playing a negative role, Nimmi in Ekta Kapoor's TV show 'Appnapan', is missing her younger brother, Abhimanyu who's a banker by profession.
She says, "Currently I'm in Mumbai and shooting for my show. I couldn't travel to my hometown in Pathankot, Punjab to celebrate Raksha Bandhan along with my brother. I'm missing him most today. We will enjoy and connect over video call later in the evening. I have sent him his Rakhi and sweets already. It is going to be a virtual celebration for me today."
Talking about the bond she shares with her brother, the 'Kumkum Bhagya' actress shares, "Abhimanyu is 13 years younger to me. And we share a special bond of love. He's like a kid to me. He was born after 3 sisters so is our dearest. I remember during my childhood, when he was just 1-2 years old, as my mom used to go to the office and couldn't manage to take off. I used to take off from my school and look after him. So I have always given my best and raised him just like a mother. He made me experience motherhood at a very young age (laughs)."
She continues to share that her brother even today makes sure to fulfill her wish. "Now we all siblings are placed in different cities. Though there is distance, we are connected by hearts. My brother in true sense does everything for me. Anything I ask either from my dad or husband, if he learns that I need something he makes sure that I have it for me. Everyone at home complains to me that I spoiled him, but I take it as a compliment. He's very ambitious, gentle and kind. I miss my family on festivals," she concludes.
Mridula has acted in shows like 'Yeh Hai Chahatein', 'Naagin 6' and 'Bhagya Lakshmi'. She also featured in Jugg Jug Jeeyo, Love Ajj kal 2 among others.
