Anuradha Patel bags role in serial based on Maharaja Ranjit Singh

Veteran actress Anuradha Patel, who is known for her roles in hit films like

Ijaazat

and

Utsav

, will be seen in a historic drama on small screen. The actress is likely to play the role of dai maa in Life Ok's upcoming serial based on the life of Maharaj Ranjit Singh.

Contiloe Productions, which has produced the hit show Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat will be making the biopic for small screen. According to reports, actors Eijaz Khan and Sneha Wagh have been zeroed in to play the role of Ranjit Singh’s parents Maha Singh and Raj Kaur respectively.

Anuradha Patel has in the past done a show titled Dekho Magar Pyaar Se which aired on Star Plus. The life of Maharaj Ranjit Singh has never been seen in any film or on TV. This project will perhaps be the first to throw light on the great Sikh warrior.
