‘Anupamaa’ January 25 written update: Anupama refuses to back down against Rajni; Prem and Parag rally in her support

The episode begins with Rahi calling Anupama over at the Kothari Mansion. Everyone is shocked to see her, especially due to the ongoing issue with the chawl redevelopment project. She brings Vasundhara a kadha; however, the latter refuses to take anything from Anupama and tells her to stop increasing her blood pressure. Rahi takes a stand for her mother and says that she called her here because it was important, and Anupama adds that a mother cannot ignore her daughter's call.

The Kotharis try to convince Anupama

All of the family members tried to convince Anupama to stand with Parag and let the redevelopment of the chawl area happen. Gautam even points out that she should take Parag's side, as two of her daughters are involved in this matter. Vasundhara also praises Rahi for finally understanding and taking Kothari's side. Rahi also asks her mother why she is not taking Parag’s side, as they may lose their home if the project is halted.

Chawl residents break into Anupama’s home

As Anupama is spending her time trying to convince the Kothari and apologizing to them about everything, the scene shifts to the chawl residents breaking and entering Anupama's home. Sarita, Preet, Ishani, and Pari try to stop them, but end up failing. They take all of Anupama’s belongings and set them on fire, warning that they will do the same thing to Anupama if she comes back. The residents blame Anupama for everything, and even ask Sarita, Preet, Ishani, and Pari about where they were when the builder brought the bulldozer.

Parag stands with Anupama

At the Kothari house, everyone starts criticizing Anupama over her decision to fight Rajni, and they all tell her to think more logically. Rahi even points out that her mother should be more understanding in the matter, while Mahi and Meeta ask why she is willing to risk her life for the chawl residents. As they all argue, Parag finally intervenes. He tells them all to stop calling Anupama out, instead encourages her to pursue the case against Rajni and get justice. When his family tries to counter that, he tells them that he is not backing out from the project because of Anupama, but because Rajni lied to him as well.

Vasundhara threatens Anupama

Vasundhara is left shocked at Parag’s confession and asks him whether he has thought about all of the consequences. Parag tells her that he had decided before Anupam even came to their house. Vasundhara refuses to back down and instead threatens Anupama. She tells her that if everything continues and the project is stopped, she will bring Pari back to the Kothari Mansion. She further adds that she can take care of Ishani. Ansh and Prarthana as well. Prem is the only one in the family who sides with her despite everything.
