‘Anupamaa’ February 12 written update: Anupama stands by Kapil’s side as Prem refuses Prerna’s advances

The latest episode of ‘Anupamaa’ begins with Anupama and Kapil having a conversation about whatever is happening with him. He clarifies that he was never able to come out and say the truth, as his friends would often make fun of him. He continues that he has always felt that there is noone to stand by his side and support him. Anupama reassures him that she will stand by his side and that he needs to come out and say his truth. After some reluctance, Kapil agrees with her and tells her that not every woman is a goddess and that it is essential to come clean about what goes on behind closed doors. Anupama tells him that she will stand by his side.The two continue with their conversation as Kapil worries about what he should do about the matter. He further asks Anupama if she is sure about helping him. He points out that if she stands by his side, her relationship with the Kotharis, which is already fragile, will worsen even more.Anupama again tells him that she is sure about her decision and that she knows what can happen if she stands by him. She tells Kapil that she believes in god and how he will be able to handle everything no matter what. She tells him that he deserves justice for all that has happened to him. After Prerna has insisted that Prem stay in her room after she was harassed, the two try to go to sleep. Prem takes the couch, while Prerna settles into the bed. She, however, sees Prem and ends up going up to him. She kisses his cheek, hoping that he will not wake up, though he does and starts screaming at her. Prerna tries to explain that she simply got weak in the moment and that it will not happen again; however, Prem refuses to listen to her about anything.He continues to scream at her and tells her that they have never been anything more than friends. Prerna asks him not to tell anything to Rahi; however, he continues and says that she is the love of his life and that he does not hide anything from her, not even this. She tells him that she does not want to lose Anupama and Rahi; however, he simply tells her to leave him alone, and also adds that he does not want to see her face ever again.When he leaves the room, Rahi ends up calling. Prerna picks up the phone and asks if everything is okay. Before the two can talk further, Prem comes in and snatches his phone away and reassures Rahi that everything is okay. Back at home, Anupama sits with Rahi and Ansh and feeds them food from her hands. She notices Mahi watching all of them and asks her to join them. Mahi gets emotional and slowly steps towards Anupama as she faces flashbacks of when she was a child, and Anupama took care of her.Anupama, Rahi, and Ansh all ask her to leave her anger behind for one day and to come be a kid again. Anupama tells her that she should have food from her mother’s hand once more. Mahi starts crying; however, before she reaches the trio, she stops herself, turns around, and rushes up the stairs. This leaves Anupama emotional as she wonders what happened to Mahi. She says that Mahi was never accepted into her home, which has left her insecure. She also mentions that Gautam’s company is hurting her as well.Later in the day, Kapil finds out that his mother has been in an accident. He blames everything on Kriti, who creates drama and plays the victim. Parag tells Kapil that he cannot treat Kriti like this, and then asks her why she has not divorced him already. Kapil agrees to the divorce right there; however, he comments that Kriti will never agree to it. Parag attempts to call his lawyer, but is stopped by Anupama.
