Rupali Ganguly: Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Anupamaa will go in my epitaph; 'Here lies the girl who played Monishaa and Anupamaa'

Actress Rupali Ganguly, who is currently ruling millions of hearts and the TRP charts as Anupamaa, recently went live on her Instagram account to chat with her fans. The actress has achieved a new milestone of 2 million followers on Instagram and to celebrate the occasion, she went live to thank her fans. During the chat, Rupali urged everyone to take care of animals and also spoke about her life. From sharing that Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Anupamaa will go in my epitaph to opening up about her financial struggle, the actress poured her heart out.

During the live chat, a fan came up with a request and asked her character Anupamaa to marry Anuj Kapadia (Gaurav Khanna). The actress burst out laughing and then stated that she would have to say this to the producer and writers of the show as they decide it. She joked that she would ask Rajan Shahi to get Anuj and Anupamaa married. (Photo: Instagram)

She further shared that she could only decide about her own wedding which also happened because her husband Ashwin wanted to get married. She quickly narrated her wedding story about how her husband arrived for the wedding late as she had said yes for the marriage at the last minute. (Photo: Instagram)

Roshesh and Monishaa were the ultimate characters I think. And of course not to forget Maya Sarabhai and Indravadan Sarabhai, Sahil Sarabhai. The Sarabhai vs Sarabhai family is close to the heart and it will always remain close to my heart. Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Anupamaa will go in my epitaph; 'Here lies the girl who played Monishaa and Anupamaa'. (Photo: Instagram)

You all know I have grown up in a film family. So, I've been obsessed with films and there have been 4 film personalities who I look up to and inspired. First is Kishore Kumar, he was a legend. Then Mr Amitabh Bachchan, I have been a huge and crazy fan of Mr Bachchan, if I ever meet him I'll faint. And obviously you all know I am obsessed, completely enamoured, inspired and she is in my blood and I am mad about her. These three are my all time favourite and whatever I have done in my life is only by looking at them and learning from them. From today's generation I love and I am totally in awe of Ranbir Kapoor. Sometimes in life you come across real life heroes who are actually living a thought process which you have been always wanting to do. During the lockdown we all were stuck inside our house, but I used to go to Filmcity and feed animals. I'll tell you how they became a part of my life. 26 years ago, when I had no money in my bank account, God sent me this friend Mona, who used to work below my building in an office, she would give me Rs 400 to feed the dogs. That time my father was going through a bad phase as was witnessing a series of flop films back-to-back and things were not good financially. It's ok as time always passes by. From that time onwards, it became an obsession for me to take care of animals. I also believe in life when you ask something for others before you, God will never keep you empty handed.

I would love to follow Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, and minimalism like I've seen a lot of people who hoard too many things in life. They don't want to be seen in the same clothes. If they have been photographed in the same outfit, they don't want to wear the same clothes. But I feel it's ok, the dress I am wearing right now I have worn it many times, even while travelling to the sets. In fact, I want to tell you, old clothes fit you the best.

She thanked her fans for showering love on her and her TV show, Anupamaa and celebrated her new milestone of achieving 2 million followers on Instagram. She cut a beautiful cake on the live and celebrated the occasion. She asked her fans to take care of their parents. (Photo: Instagram)
