Ankita Lokhande gets teary-eyed as she fondly remembers late actor Sushant Singh Rajput; says ‘He would get affected by what people would write about him on Twitter’

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput made their names in the industry with Pavitra Rishta and were also in a relationship from 2010-2016. Ankita went through a difficult phase post break-up and also turmoil after SSR’s demise in 2020. In Bigg Boss 17, Ankita opened up about the late actor, their break up and also how he was a person. Here’s what all he said about him:

When Abhishek says that he relates to SSR’s journey and background to himself, Ankita shared, “But woh itna gussa nahi karta tha. Bahut shant tha Sushant. Aap kaise apni journey chalu karte ho. Bahut mehnaati tha wo. Bahut mehnaati, another level of hardwork. He was so dedicated and passionate. But when you are so into detail, a bit of ups and downs affect you.”

She said, “Sushant would dive deep into anything. Woh ghus jaata tha jo bhi usko chahiye hota tha. Thoda sa bhi upar neeche ho jaata tha, he would get affected. He would get affected by what people are talking about him on Twitter. He would think about people a lot. It was very normal because he was from a small town. Jagah jagah naam kamana is not easy.”

In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita was seen sitting with Abhishek Kumar in the garden area and she starts saying, “When you roam around in pants and without shirt, you remind me of Sushant. Uska physique aisa tha. Uska structure aisa tha.”

In the recent episode Ankita Lokhande opened up about her breakup with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput for the first time. She shared that it was very sudden and he left without saying anything. She said, “There was no reason for the breakup. I was blank, everything turned upside down in a night. It was a sudden breakup. See when you are growing in your career people tell you a lot of things. It was his matter and I didn't stop him. It was his life and I cannot control it. My only concern was that he should have told me then I would have been a bit prepared to take the show. He suddenly disappeared.”

While Abhishek expressed that he wanted to refrain from talking about SSR with Ankita, she replied, “No that’s fine. Uske baare me baat karna achha hi lagta hai. I feel proud of him. Very proud. Family hai.” She also got emotional and teary eyed.

“Vicky was also Sushant’s friend. Vicky has been very supportive in these matters. Aap kya kar loge jab kuch hai hi nahi. Koi chala hi jaaye duniya chhod ke, kya kar loge. You have to be supportive. There was no one to support. Vicky handled everything very nicely. Had he not been supportive, I wouldn’t have able to do anything.”

During the live telecast of the show, Ankita was seen talking about Sushant Singh Rajput while conversing with Samarth about embracing motherhood and wanting to have twins. The conversation then shifted to Ankita's past, and she revealed she was in true love. She shared, “Mujhe sacha pyaar tha aur kafi saalo ka pyaar tha. Mai toh dulhan banne ke liye bhi taiyaar thi. Lekin mera dulha mujhko chor kar chala gaya." She also added that she thought Sushant was her groom but he left her and then Vicky entered her life and she got married to him.
