Anchal Sahu balances Class 12 board exams with her TV shoot
Board exams are stressful for most students, but young TV actress Anchal Sahu is among those who handle pressure well. “I don’t let it affect me because there is no point in getting stressed. I just believe in doing my best,” says the 17-year-old, who is appearing for her Class 12 board exams this year.
What makes it tougher for Anchal is that she is currently playing the lead in the TV show Parineetii. She says, “Sometimes managing my studies and work gets difficult, but I am very grateful that I have found my career path. I love what I do, it makes me very happy. I want to balance my work with studies as that’s very important too.”
Talking about her ongoing board exams, the actress, who is a student of TP Bhatia College, says, “I have a four-day gap between every two papers, so I try to utilise my time in the best possible way. I am managing it quite well.”
She has a fixed schedule that she sticks to. “I wake up in the morning and study for two-and-a-half hours, after which I set out for my shoot. I revise whatever I have studied while I am travelling. If I find time in the middle of the shoot, I study in my vanity van. The makers have given me a few hours off for my exams. So, I go to the sets after I finish my paper,” says Anchal.
Work and studies take up most of her time these days. She says, “I feel
exhausted, and sometimes, I doze off as soon as I reach home. But I feel blessed
that I have the strength to juggle my work and studies.”
Anchal began her acting career in showbiz when she bagged the lead role in Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye? in 2021. She says, “I know people have gone through tough times during the pandemic. I was giving auditions from home and was fortunate to bag a good role. That’s when I realised that this is what I want to do in life.”
