Thanks to the lockdown, several people who are living away from their families, have been unable to meet them. While video calls have come to the rescue, nothing beats meeting your family members in person. During such times, television actress Amrapali Gupta says she is lucky to live with her family.
She says, “I have grown up in a joint family and I’m lucky that even after my marriage, I live in a big family.
Living in a joint family is like receiving a triple scoop of your favourite ice-cream. It feels so nice when the entire family sits together on the dining table to have food. Today, joint families are rare, but I feel blessed to have one.”
The actress, who got married to her on-screen husband, actor Yash Sinha from ‘Teen Bahuraaniyaan’ in 2012, further adds, “Having a joint family provides me with an extra dose of unconditional love and support. My parents-in-law, brother-in-law and everyone else are so fond of my son, Kabir. I believe raising him in a joint family set-up will make him more mature and caring. Staying together during the lockdown is just like a family vacation for us.”
Amrapali is known for playing an antagonist in shows such as ‘
Qubool Hai,’ ‘Ishqbaaaz’ and ‘Bahu Begum’.
