Alan, who has also done films, admits that he was initially scared of getting back to work at a time like this. He said, "We all are scared to a certain extent to shoot in this situation. For three months, we did not step out and were homebound. Suddenly, we are out amidst a whole unit, shooting. As a unit, we are maintaining social distancing and taking precautions. Everything we touch is sanitised regularly. There are sanitisers at every nook and corner of the set. The producers are taking extra efforts to ensure we are all safe. Everybody compulsorily wears a mask and the shield except actors when they are shooting a scene. As soon as the shot is cut, actors wear a mask immediately. It’s a different way of working. I have never shot like this before. We can’t sit together while we eat, since we have to maintain social distance. But like it is said, jeena yaha, marna yaha, iske siwa jana kaha. Life has to move on. This virus has caused a lot of much damage. So, I feel it is a good step to start work with proper preparation, training, precautions and limited staff."

Alan shares how he was busy spending time with family last year. He said, "Last year, I got to spend a lot of time with family. My family was here. My sister had come down from Germany. Also I have my own team in Box Cricket League, so there was a lot of preparation in terms of selection of players and practise sessions. Unfortunately I had a back injury and was on a month long bed rest. I sometimes used to wear a back supporting belt under my T-shirt for cricket matches since there was no chance of wriggling out."
