After Tose Naina Milaai Ke, Micckie Dudaaney returns with Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera: I wanted something substantial
After the first season of Tose Naina Milaai Ke ended in November 2024, Micckie Dudaaney chose to wait for the right opportunity instead of rushing into the first project that came his way. His wait has now ended with Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera, which stars Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia.
Micckie shares, “I consciously took a break because I wanted to do something substantial that could justify the popularity and reach I enjoyed during my previous show. It has been a year and a half since Tose Naina Milaai Ke ended, but I continue to receive mails and messages from audiences across the globe. Oh Humnava seemed like the best show to return with. It is one of the most awaited shows, especially because of the lead pairing of Sriti and Shabir. My role in Oh Humnava is quite different from Avdhesh in Tose Naina Milaai Ke. Avdhesh was caring and deeply devoted, a one-sided lover of Kuhu who would do anything for her and always stood by her. However, my new character is negative, but has valid reasons for his actions. I have just begun shooting for the show, and I hope the audience connects with my character and that I get to explore it further.
During the break, Micckie spent time shooting for micro dramas, writing, and reconnecting with his family. He says, “I worked on a few micro dramas and vertical series to stay engaged as an actor. Alongside that, I have been writing concepts for a producer friend and also contributed to a few micro drama projects. That’s primarily what I’ve been focused on over the past one and a half years, balancing acting with writing and exploring vertical formats. I also made time for my family, which I had deeply missed while shooting for Tose Naina Milaai Ke, as the schedule was based in Naigaon. Fortunately, we later moved the set to Film City.”
Speaking about bagging Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera, the actor credits casting director Dhananjay Kumar Pandey. He says, “I have known Dhananjay for a good 15 years, and we have worked on a few projects together, including Jiji Maa. He has been extremely supportive and had been pitching for me for quite some time. He has a keen eye for casting and knows exactly who fits which character. Instead of just sharing the script and expecting you to prepare, he offers a detailed brief and helps you understand the character and its graph. He also respects an actor’s perspective, even when they choose not to take up a role. He is very experienced, and aligning everything while finding the right actor within budget is not easy, but he manages it exceptionally well.”
