Adaa Khan is unfazed by the pace of her career compared to others. She prefers to choose projects that resonate with her, even if that means waiting for the right opportunity. Currently, the Naagin actress is eyeing a breakthrough in the OTT space. She says, “I want to explore new avenues and diverse characters. At this stage in my career, I aspire to dive into OTT, as the characters and storylines on this platform are more real and relatable.”
While OTT content often includes intimate scenes, Adaa has been clear about her limits. She admits she’s been offered roles that would push her out of her comfort zone but remains firm in her boundaries. The actress, who has been part of shows such as Palampur Express, Behenein, Amrit Manthan, Piya Basanti Re, Rishton Ka Mela, Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, and was last seen in Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, says, “I say no to kissing, bold, and intimate scenes. They often tell me it’s common, but there are plenty of clean shows out there. I’ve already drawn my lines — I can’t do kissing or any of that on screen.”
She explains that this has always been her stance since entering the industry. “When I stepped into the glam world, my mom was my biggest supporter. Most of my family works in more traditional fields. Their love and respect mean the world to me, and I don’t want to do anything that makes me uncomfortable or disappoints them. They’re proud of me, and I feel a responsibility not to let them down. While they would never stop me, I just know where my comfort zone lies,” Adaa, who is best remembered for her portrayal of Shesha in the first, second and sixth seasons of Naagin, concludes.
