Actors celebrate Baisakhi as a new beginning and with gratitude
On Baisakhi, actors celebrate the day that ushers in prosperity, good health and luck, with ritualism and some personalise it with unique tributes. Observed as a celebration of the harvest season in Punjab, Baisakhi holds promise of positvity for people who believe in it as they gather in prayer and feast. We spoke to some actors and celebrities on how they mark the significance of this day. Here is what they say...
Sandiip Sikcand, actor from series like Chashni, Aanandii
"Baisakhi holds a particularly special place in my heart, especially over the past two years, primarily because of my beloved pet dog, whom we named Lucky. It was on the auspicious day of Baisakhi that Lucky unexpectedly showed up at our building early in the morning. In an instant and without hesitation, she found her way into our home. Since that delightful day, we have been fortunate to have her as part of our family."
Hunar Hali, actress from Chhal — Sheh Aur Maat, Ek Boond Ishq ,Thapki Pyaar Ki and Deewani
"Baisakhi is a reminder that growth comes with patience, faith and the courage to begin again. For me, Baisakhi is about gratitude and new beginnings — a reminder that every phase, no matter how challenging, leads to growth and renewal. Baisakhi reminds us that with patience and belief, every seed we plant eventually blooms. I like to visit the Gurudwara, do seva, and be a part of langar . It’s a time to be grateful, seek forgiveness, and reflect on everything we’ve been blessed with. It brings a sense of peace and reminds me to stay humble. Thank Waheguru Ji for all the blessings in life.
