Abhishek Sharma: Staying authentic is the biggest lesson fame has taught me
Abhishek Sharma, who is seen in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Tu Juliet Jatt Di, understands that apart from the applause and lights, the industry he is working in gives him recognition and attention. He said, "I try to stay focused on my work and remind myself why I started."
"Fame is a part of the journey, but I believe staying humble and grounded helps me handle the attention better," he added.
His passion for the craft keeps him motivated, and he said, "It keeps me going. Tough times are part of growth, and I see them as opportunities to learn and become stronger."
And he was quick to mention that he has experienced self-doubt, much like other actors. He added, "I handle it by reminding myself of how far I’ve come and by focusing on improving rather than overthinking."
Even with a busy schedule, he makes time for things he enjoys outside of work. He said, "Like spending time with family and friends or doing activities that help me relax and recharge."
He also admitted that his family and close friends play a huge role in keeping him grounded. He added, "They remind me of who I am beyond my work and always support me honestly, which keeps me balanced."
Asked how he deals with criticism, both from critics and social media, he said. "I try to take constructive criticism as a way to improve and ignore negativity that doesn’t add value. Staying positive is very important. I focus on maintaining a healthy routine, staying active, and taking time to relax and reflect when needed."
Along with that, he also makes it a point to stay grateful, work hard, and believe in his abilities every day. He added, "Small positive habits can make a big difference."
Abhishek makes sure that he reminds himself that work is just one part of his life. He said, "It doesn’t let work consume your personal identity. Also, maintaining hobbies, relationships, and personal interests helps keep that balance."
Biggest lesson fame has taught you? "To stay authentic. No matter how much things change, being true to yourself is what really matters," Abhishek ended.
