Aamna Sharif defends Mahhi Vij as she faces trolls for her bond with close friend Nadeem amid divorce; says, “Repulsive minds will never change”
Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij recently shocked their fans as they announced their divorce on social media. The former couple issued a joint statement confirming that they’ve decided to part ways on a mutual note. Later, Mahhi shared pictures with close friend Nadeem with a heartfelt caption, which received a mixed reaction from fans. Actress and close friend Aamna Sharif has now shared her take on the same and has defended Mahhi.
Aamna shared a note on her Instagram stories while calling out the trolls. Several other fans and close ones from the industry expressed their support for Mahhi Vij amid the divorce. Aamna’s post read, “You only find filth in trash… so ignore the rubbish… You don’t need to explain your relationship with anyone to anybody as repulsive minds will never change… So stay strong always and we all support you and the truth as it stands… Love you.”
Mahhi previously shared a video addressing the rumours surrounding close friend Nadeem. She said, “So, everyone told me not to address this, avoid it, and people who know about these things are feeling ridiculous about what the media is doing. Just because we have taken divorce with a lot of respect for each other, I don’t think you guys are able to digest it. You guys want controversy, you guys want filth. How did this happen? So, Nadeem, who is my best friend, and will always be my best friend.”
The actress further opened up about the reason why daughter Tara calls Nadeem ‘Abba.’ She said, “I have been posting for him for 6 years. And Tara has been calling him Abba for 6 years. It was a joint decision between me and Jay that she will call him Abba. You have made the word Abba so disgusting. A person is going through something. You guys are not afraid of karma. You can stoop to any level of filth, shame on you, spit on you people.”
