Aadesh Chaudhary: I haven't quit but have taken a break from TV to focus on OTT and films
Actor Aadesh Chaudhary, who has been part of television for over a decade, says he has taken a short break from TV. "I have acted in a number of television shows over the past decade, but now I have consciously taken a break from TV for a reason. I want to focus on getting a good role in OTT and films.”
Sharing further about his thoughts on television as a medium, he says, "After doing TV for a long time, I felt like it was getting a bit monotonous.
I wanted to explore further, so I decided to focus on the web. But that doesn't mean that I won't do TV in the future. Whenever something interesting happens, I will consider the opportunity. Earlier when I was doing TV, I was getting OTT show offers but I could not do it because TV doesn't give you that time for other things. That's why I consciously took a break."
Being in showbiz is not easy and it's always good to have a financial backup. Aadesh agrees. He says,
"We have a family business and whenever I have the time, I help with that. Hence I am not insecure as an actor and do not take up work for the sake of it. The project should really interest me. I am giving myself the opportunity to grow further."
But Aadesh went through his fair share of struggles as a newcomer and he says that helped him grow as a person. "I began with theatre with Kader Khan and did that for 3 years. I then started giving auditions and I got my first show Mohalla Mohabbat Wala, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. I had my share of struggles. I used to travel by train and walk long distances to give auditions. I gave more than 50 auditions before I got my first show. So it wasn't easy but I am happy where I am today," he shares.
