8 Telly couples who got divorced after being married for several years

Amidst news of marriages, couples splitting up comes as a shock. Not all marriages are made in heaven. For these couples, they tried their best to work it out but ultimately their marriage didn’t last long. For some, even the friendship between them couldn’t salvage their marriage. Here are 8 telly couples, who called it quits after being together for more than 5 years.

Kya Haal Mr Panchal actress Shruti Rawat took to social media to share the news of her split from husband Nikkhil Agawane on July 31, 2023. Shruti wrote, "To all our well wishers, After much deliberation and thought, Nikkhil and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship for almost a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us." Shruti tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Nikkhil Agawane in December 2016 and 7 years later they called it quits.

Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra had a picture-perfect married life since 2012. However, their separation news came as a shock when the former’s injured pics were splashed all over. The actress filed a complaint of alleged domestic violence case against her now ex husband Karan. Nisha had accused Karan of spending all her money. On the other hand, Karan had accused her of lying, being bipolar, and being physically abusive. The two held public press conferences hurling accusations against each other. Their divorce came through in 2021. Their marriage ended in 9 years.

Shweta Tiwari is currently a single mother to Palak Tiwari and Reyansh. While her second marriage with Abhinav Kohli ended in 6 years (2013-19), her first marriage with Raja Chaudhary had ended in 9 years. They were married from 1998-2007. When her first marriage went kaput it was widely discussed. Their divorce was among the most controversial in the industry. Shweta had accused Raja of domestic abuse and alcoholism. She also accused him of behaving badly with her on the sets of her show.

While the exact reason for their separation remains unclear, reports suggested that their differences and conflicts played a significant role in their decision to divorce. Beyhadh fame Rajesh Khatter was first married to Neelima Azeem. They had met on a film set and started as friends. They landed up in Mumbai together and then got married in 1990. Their marriage ended after 11 years in 2001.
