Model and actor Jignesh Joshi, who has many friends taking the ice bucket challenge, is unhappy about it.
The actor says, “The ice bucket challenge says that you either pay `100 or pour an ice bucket over your head. Why the ice bucket? So that one knows how an ALS patient feels. Pray, why would you want to give people the option of not donating? There are a few cases of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Scelerosis) in India, but we have other major diseases to deal with like AIDS, TB and Malaria, among others.
So why are we wasting water like this?”
The actor feels that instead of blindly following the West and social media, people should look what is more serious in our country.”
