With doc on set, actors doing own makeup, Gujarati TV & films resume shoot
Unlock 1.0 has brought in some cheer for the Gujarati entertainment industry. Both the Gujarati film and TV industry are now getting into the work mode with proper safety measures in place. For those, who are waiting to finish their post-production work in Mumbai studios, the Maharashtra government’s ‘conditional’ green signal to start shooting has come as a blessing.
‘SETS AND EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROPERLY SANTISED’

Indie directors working on Gujarati web series, TVCs and short films are elated to start the work as soon as possible in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. They are ensuring that social distancing is maintained on the sets and are even opting to work with minimal crew and cast. Shounak Vyas, who plans to shoot the next episode of his ongoing web series after June 8 at a cafe/restaurant, says, “Vikram Panchal and I would be taking care of direction, camera and light at the location and there would be only two actors who’ll be shooting.” Director Dhwani Gautam says, “I have to start working on a short film and will follow all the safety rules strictly.”
‘POST PRODUCTION WORK WILL RESUME SOON AS PER GUIDELINES’
In Unlock 1.0, most D-Towners are looking at finishing their pending post production work. Kirtan Patel, director of
TV actors, directors and crew members are now looking forward to start the work with all safety measures in place. Sunny Pancholi, actor of

shares, “We will resume mostly from next week after the sanitisation of set, props, equipment etc is done. We will resume shooting once we get a green signal from the government bodies on the arrangements made.” Most TV production houses will follow social distancing and other safety norms on the sets. Ashwani Gaddoo, producer ofLakshmi Sadaiv Mangalam
says, “We will have 33% of cast and crew members on the set. Apart from use of masks, gloves, face shields, there will be a doctor, a nurse and one ambulance on the sets as per the guidelines. says, “I have started the dubbing in Vadodara. The post production will be done in Mumbai and I will fix a schedule for edit, mixing and final rolls once things settle down a bit.” Actress-producer Manasi Parekh says, “I am planning to start the recce of my new projects in Gujarat very soon. Right now, we are looking at finalising the storyline, and are in the process of picking the right location and cast/crew. We will shoot with proper precautions.”end of article
