Glad to make a comeback with a Gujarati show: Sneha Chauhan

Sneha Chauhan, who became popular while playing the lead role in the Gujarati TV show Lakshmi Sadaiv Mangalam, is back on Gujarati TV. Sneha, who has taken up an important role in Maru Mann Mohi Gayu, tells us, “I play Kosha, a bubbly character, who is the parallel lead of the show. I am glad to do a show that talks about body positivity. We are shooting at a remote village near Kamrej, where the network is not great, and things can get challenging. But I am blessed to be working with a great team and there are some theatre actors in the show, from whom I learnt a lot.”

She adds, “Unlike Hindi shows, Gujarati TV shows have budget constraints. There are tight deadlines and we usually shoot 15 to 18 scenes in a day. It’s challenging, but I get to learn a lot. I also enjoy doing OTT projects because the medium (OTT) has taught me to be natural in front of the camera.”

‘I went through a very tough phase emotionally’

Sneha, who has done the Gujarati film Gajab Thai Gayo! and cameos in the D-Town film Backbencher and Hindi TV show Sasural Simar Ka, was last seen in the Hindi TV show Saavi Ki Savaari and a web series (Aashiqana). She says that she “went through a tough phase emotionally” after that. The actress tells us, “I was doing those two projects simultaneously but took a break after that. Something bad happened in my personal life and things were not easy. I was depressed and didn’t even talk to my parents for a few days. I am glad that I am out of that phase and it feels nice to make a comeback with a Gujarati show. This is a new beginning for me, and I feel grateful.”
