Tony Danza recently shared a heartfelt reunion with his "forever TV daughter" and Who’s The Boss? co-star, Alyssa Milano. On Monday, Sept. 23, the 73-year-old actor posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Milano, 51, together after his sold-out performance of Sinatra & Stories at Café Carlyle in New York City on Sept. 18.
"My forever TV daughter," Danza captioned the photos, showing the pair smiling and embracing. "Love you, @milano_alyssa, and thank you for being there for me." He also expressed excitement for Milano’s upcoming Broadway debut, writing, "I’m coming to see you in @chicagomusical on Broadway!!!!! Can’t wait!!" Milano, set to star as Roxie Hart in Chicago this fall, responded by posting her own version of the photos, calling Danza her "forever TV Dad." "I got to see him last week perform his show at Café Carlyle," Milano wrote.
"He sang, played his uke, and danced. And damn…I’m so blessed to witness the joy that emanates from him when he performs. Love you, T." Their reunion took place just days after the 40th anniversary of Who’s the Boss?, which premiered on Sept. 20, 1984.
The sitcom ran for eight seasons, featuring Danza as Tony Micelli, a single dad and former pro baseball player who becomes a live-in housekeeper for ad executive Angela Robinson Bower, played by Judith Light. Milano, at just 11 years old, starred as Tony’s daughter, Samantha. The show also featured the late Katherine Helmond.
