On Tuesday, December 10, Sofronio Vasquez was named the winner of The Voice season 26, marking Michael Bublé's victory as a coach in his first season. Overcome with emotion, Vasquez dropped to his knees as his win was announced, while Bublé was brought to tears.

Before Sofronio was crowned the winner, Bublé told him, "My Filipino brother, you are the hope for so many people... it's been an incredible journey to be here with you."

He surpassed fellow Bublé contestant Shye, Team Reba's Danny Joseph, Team Snoop's Jeremy Beloate, and Team Gwen's Sydney Sterlace.

Vasquez, who grew up in the Philippines, attributes his passion for singing to his father. After his father's passing, he relocated to the United States in 2022 to follow his music career.

In his blind audition, where he performed Rose Royce's "I'm Goin' Down," Vasquez received a four-chair turn and selected Bublé as his coach. During the Dec. 2 episode, the Canadian singer offered Vasquez heartfelt praise after his emotional rendition of Elvis Presley's "If I Can Dream."

As the latest winner of The Voice, Vasquez joins a distinguished group of past champions. His victory has earned him a recording contract, a substantial cash prize of $100,000, and the coveted trophy, paving the way for a promising career in the music industry and showcasing his talent and hard work.
