Three weeks after revealing her split from husband Edwin Arroyave, Teddi Mellencamp is focused on healing and growth. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, took to Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 24, to share a message of resilience and self-improvement amid swirling rumors about the end of her 13-year marriage.
“The only person who can change your life is you,” Mellencamp wrote alongside a video of herself jogging on a Peloton treadmill to Christina Aguilera’s “Fighter.” She continued, “We have two options: pretend to be a victim or stand up and fight for yourself. We all deserve peace and happiness.”
Mellencamp opened up about the emotional toll of the breakup, revealing she had “cried and mourned” but also taken responsibility for her part in the relationship’s challenges. “I’ve taken accountability and apologized for things I have done wrong,” she shared, adding that she refuses to be consumed by speculation and media narratives. “Clickbait means nothing, and of course, there are three sides to every story,” she wrote.
The Bravo star initially filed for divorce from Arroyave, 47, on Nov. 1, citing irreconcilable differences and listing Oct. 20 as their separation date. While she originally requested primary custody of their children—Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4—Mellencamp later amended the filing to seek joint physical and legal custody.
Through her candid reflections, Mellencamp emphasized the importance of focusing on the people and priorities that truly matter. “How I can stand up and show up for the people that do matter does,” she wrote, signaling her intention to move forward with strength and purpose.
As Mellencamp navigates this new chapter, she remains committed to creating a positive and peaceful environment for herself and her children.
