The Three’s company star Suzanne Somers passed away on October 15 in California after her decades long battle with cancer. Husband Alan Hamel recalled her final moments by his side and how she was dealing with breast cancer for years.

He revealed how it was just one day to her birthday and he was very excited for that. However, he realised that Somers’ breathing was erratic and later she had stopped responding to his words and actions.

Alan is going through a rough phase after his wife of four decades passed away due to cancer. He recalled his final moments with her and even got emotional. He said that he kissed her at night and that when he realised that her body isn’t responding. He further confirmed that the Three’s company star passed away while on bed with him at 5’ o clock.

He said, "We were in bed together and her breathing was erratic, and I had been talking to her for hour. There was no response except when I kissed her, she responded, and then around 5 o'clock in the morning, she was gone."

Alan further told NBC, “All of a sudden she wasn't responding and she wasn't eating and she wasn't taking her meds. As I know her so well I thought, ‘I wonder if I should call 911?' And I knew that she wouldn't want that and that she did not want to go to a hospital."

The news of her sudden demise came as a shock to everyone. It came months after her husband of four decades revealed that Suzanne’s cancer has returned.

Somers was dealing with skin cancer in her 30s, and hyperplasia in her 20s. And since her 50s, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Netizens and close ones from the industry expressed their condolences to her on social media.

Suzanne Somers’s career encompassed five seasons on the 1970s TV sitcom Three’s Company.
