In a plot involving a fake idol, 'Survivor 46' Week 2 evicted a contestant after a tense challenge, leaving emotions running high.

The latest episode of Survivor 46, spanning two hours, marked the longest non-premiere or finale in the show's history. Utilizing the extended duration, viewers witnessed various events, including a thrilling music trivia challenge and a castaway's growing isolation, contemplating tribe betrayal. However, the spotlight remained on a particular group, as they navigated through another heartbreaking defeat, leading to intense strategizing, emotional turmoil, and the emergence of fake idols.

While in the show, one cannot take rest, Jess Chong exited the game fatigued on Day 5, battling sleep deprivation that hindered her early gameplay, placing her at a disadvantage. Despite surviving initially due to another player's struggles, she faced scrutiny following a challenging loss. Attempting to regain control, Jess targeted the tribe's social butterfly, Kenzie, and believed she secured safety with an idol from Q. However, it proved a ruse to discourage her from using her Shot in the Dark. After a tumultuous Tribal Council, discovering her idol was counterfeit, Jess exited unanimously, acknowledging the fierce competition.

Prior to Jess, David Jelinsky got evicted on Day 3. The premiere saw the departure of Jelinsky, a 22-year-old slot machine salesman from Las Vegas. His elimination stemmed from multiple errors, notably quitting the "Sweat" challenge and relinquishing his vote, granting two opposing tribe members additional votes.

The lineup of 18 contestants was unveiled on February 5, 2024. The remaining contestants are: Ben Katzman, Bhanu Gopal, Charlie Davis, Hunter McKnight, Jemila "Jem" Hussain-Adams, Kenzie Petty, Liz Wilcox, Maria Shrime Gonzalez, Moriah Gaynor, Q Burdette, Randen Montalvo, Soda Thompson, Tevin Davis, Tiffany Nicole Ervin, Tim Spicer and Venus Vafa.
