Sofia Vergara is producing a sports-themed family drama for US network ABC.
"
The Classic
" is inspired by the documentary of the same name, which centred on a football rivalry between two Los Angeles high schools. The show will also focus on a multi-generational family.

, the co-chairman of Mandalay Sports Media - one of the production companies behind the project - said.
