Sarah Shahi has been roped in by
CBS
to play the iconic sleuth Nancy Drew in the network's "Drew" pilot.
The 36-year-old "
Person of Interest
" star was selected after a lengthy casting search, said The Hollywood Reporter.

As per the series, Nancy grew up solving crimes with her two childhood girlfriends, Bess and George. CBS' version will see her joining the NYPD after college, where she was named the youngest female NYPD homicide detective.
