SAG Award Winners: Schitt's Creek and leading lady Catherine O’Hara win big

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were handed out on Sunday (April 4) for the best performances in film and television in 2020. Dan and Eugene Levy helmed Schitt’s Creek in TV category and celebrated victories for their ensembles.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were handed out on Sunday (April 4) for the best performances in film and television in 2020. It was a hostless one-hour, pre-taped 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards that celebrated the best achievements in film and television performances for the year.
Dan and Eugene Levy helmed Schitt’s Creek in TV category and celebrated victories for their ensembles.

The sitcom won the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and leading actress Catherine O’Hara took home the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series award.
Daniel Levy, who played the role of David, is the creator of the show along with his father Eugene Levy. Eugene played the role of Johnny. Eugene’s daughter Sara Levy was also a part of the show, in the role of Twyla. Annie Murphy played the role of Alexis, John and Moira’s daughter in this Canadian sitcom, which has won masses’ hearts. A look at the trio sitting with the other cast members of the show and all exhilarated to receive the ensemble cast in Comedy award.

Catherine’s performance as Moira Rose has been much lauded. She had already won the corresponding Television Critics Association, Emmy, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice Awards.
