These actors are essaying roles that defy how the global television audience perceives India.Tina Desai The dusky actress will appear in upcoming American fiction drama series Sense8, created by the Wachowski siblings of The Matrix fame, as one of eight strangers from different parts of the world who suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked.

Suraj Sharma The Life Of Pi actor has signed on to season four of Homeland. The New Dehli-raised actor will join the CIA thriller as Aayan Ibrahim, a Pakistani medical student who crosses paths with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes).
Rahul Khanna The former veejay has a starring role in The Americans as Yousaf, a Pakistani intelligence agent involved in the Afghanistan conflict during the 80s and a target for protagonists Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, played by Rhys and Keri Russell.
