Mariah Carey is set to guest star on the third season of "
Empire
".
The 46-year-old songstress will make her long-awaited debut on the hit series' October 5 episode, reported E! online.

When the duet encounters obstacles, Kitty helps Jamal dig deep to overcome personal difficulties and reach a musical breakthrough.

In addition to Carey, other guest stars set to make an appearance during the third season include Taye Diggs, French Montana, Sierra McClain and Birdman.
