The ‘The Sixth Sense’ director says he has apprehensions about working on a longer TV series. A report on IndianExpress.com states that the first season of 'Wayward Pines' had 10 episodes and the director says he was certain he wouldn’t go beyond that number.

“We’re blessed to be making television or at least joining television – it was the first show, Wayward Pines and at a time where the formats are not prescribed to you. Like, it has to be 24 episodes in a season,” Shyamalan said in an interview. He added, “It would have been impossible. I would have peaced out for sure. I don’t know how they do it. We can barely do ten. I mean, when you’re doing every detail of that line and this line, and making sure it’s going the right way. We went to the studio and said, ‘This is what we think it will be. We will not go longer than this. So if you want to do a second season, this is where it’s going to end.”
