Miranda entered the stage to enthusiastic cheers from the live audience, fully decked out in his signature costume from the Broadway phenomenon. The sketch took a comedic twist on the signing of the Declaration of Independence, with Miranda delivering a powerful monologue as Hamilton.

“I say our lives matter not if we lose them in the cause of liberty. What matters is the nation we build,” he declared before breaking into a clever rap, “‘Cause in America, all men are created equal. America, not England, we doing the sequel. And we will have leaders, but know one thing, in America, we will never have a king.”

The moment took a sharp comedic turn when SNL cast member James Austin Johnson stepped in as Donald Trump, interrupting with a sly, “Never say never,” leaving Miranda and the rest of the cast frozen in humorous disbelief.

The episode, hosted by Timothée Chalamet, who also performed as the musical guest, was packed with surprises, but Miranda’s appearance stood out as a fan-favorite moment. His return as Hamilton not only showcased his unmatched energy and talent but also reminded viewers why his portrayal of the founding father became a cultural phenomenon.

Miranda, who has stayed busy with various film, television, and stage projects, clearly hasn’t lost his magic touch when it comes to Hamilton. Fans of both the actor and SNL were thrilled to see the Broadway star step back into his revolutionary role, even if just for one night.
