Kirsten Storms' TV daughter wears her Zenon costume on General Hospital halloween episode

“General Hospital” star, Kimberly McCullough, recently recreated a nostalgic moment with her on-screen daughter, Eden McCoy. McCoy paid homage to McCullough’s iconic role as Zenon by donning an accurate replica of the character’s costume. McCullough, who starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century” in 1999, expressed that she still gets recognized for the role.

“Who doesn’t love a reference? Take a closer look at Georgie’s Zenon costume and tell us it isn’t perfection,” read the General Hospital social media posts, shared on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook. One of the photos captured Storms standing proudly beside Fisher, who wore a spot-on replica of the costume from Zenon.
The original Zenon movie aired on Disney Channel on Jan. 23, 1999, as one of the earliest Disney Channel Original Movies. Set in 2049, the film follows a curious teenager uncovering suspicious activity on her space station home, leading to her being grounded on Earth. The movie starred Raven-Symoné as Zenon’s best friend, Nebula Wade, alongside Gregory Smith as Zenon’s Earth crush and Phillip Rhys as rock star Proto Zoa.
The popularity of the movie led to two sequels: Zenon: The Zequel (2001) and Zenon: Z3 (2004). Storms has fond memories of her Disney days, telling PEOPLE in 2020, “I get recognized more for Zenon than I do from General Hospital still.” Though she’s been a central figure on General Hospital since 2005, the role of Zenon remains an enduring part of her career.
