Kim Kardashian opens up about co-parenting with Kanye West; reveals its been a while since he met the kids
is speaking openly about her four with ex-husband Kanye West. During her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast hosted by Alex Cooper on Wednesday, October 15, the SKIMS founder shared that it has been “a couple of months” since she and the kids last heard from West.
Kardashian, 44, and West, 48, finalized their divorce in November 2022. The couple, who married in May 2014, share four children North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6. “Whenever he’ll call for them and ask, it’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him,” Kardashian said when asked about West’s recent contact with their children.
Speaking about how she handles the situation with her kids, Kardashian explained, “They always knew that he had a big life traveling before and was always on tour and all of that, and that he lives in different countries all the time and loves to live all over the place. So, you know, we manage it really well.”
The reality star added that maintaining stability is her top priority as a parent. “They love their life and their routine and their schedule. And I think just my job as their mom is to make sure that they stick to their routine and they’re healthy and happy,” she said. “It’s not easy, no matter what, co-parenting with anyone.”
Kardashian also reflected on her own parents’ divorce, recalling that she had “the best memories” and “the best relationship” with her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr. Her parents, Robert and Kris Jenner, divorced in 1991 but remained friends until his passing in 2003.
“I just welcome healthy relationships, but it’s not easy,” Kardashian said, adding perspective on her current co-parenting journey with West, who previously revealed his bipolar disorder diagnosis in 2018.
