"I go through periods where I feel burnt out and then I have to rediscover the love for it," Foster shared. However, she said turning 60 has brought a transformative shift in her perspective. "I think turning 60 changed everything," she noted. "It felt like a happy pill—I no longer feel the need to compete with my younger self. Now, I get to enjoy a new phase of my career that taps into a different part of who I am."

Nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for True Detective: Night Country, Foster expressed that she doesn't miss the pressures and expectations of Hollywood in her twenties and thirties. Instead, she finds fulfillment in her current role. "I love making films, being part of the experience, and most of all, working as a team. I enjoy serving others and telling stories that ultimately help people become better rather than worse."
