Jennifer Love Hewitt quits 'Criminal Minds'

Pregnant actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has left the TV show 'Criminal Minds' a season after she joined it.
The 36-year-old 'Party of Five' star joined the CBS series at the start of season 10 and will not return for season 11 as of now. The Wednesday, May 6 episode was her last, reported E! Online.

Hewitt's character, Kate, saw her daughter and friend kidnapped in the season 10 finale. The character, like Hewitt, was also expecting another child, and decided to take a step back to focus on her family.
Showrunner Erica Messer said that was not the original plan, but the writers worked it in.
The actress gave birth to her first child, Autumn, in November 2013.
