Jeffrey Morgan confirms 'The Walking Dead' season 8 appearance

Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has confirmed that he is set to return as

Negan

in the upcoming season eight of "

The Walking Dead

".

During "The Howard Stern Show", the 50-year-old star said, "I know I will be on board for season 8. We've finished (season 7) a week ago."

The actor also gushed over his character's story arc in the last two episodes of the first half of season 7.

"The next two, I'm really big in. I'm heavy in those," he said.

On the other hand, rumours have been swirling that

is the next protagonist character, who will die this season.
