Jason Kelce is stepping into the late-night spotlight, and he’s got some expert advice to guide him. On the latest episode of his podcast, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, released Wednesday, Nov. 27, the retired NFL star, 37, opened up about the valuable insights he received from Jimmy Kimmel during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Nov. 21.
“I got to see Jimmy Kimmel this past week, and it was absurd—it was hilarious,” Kelce said. “Jimmy was the man. He offered tons of advice and even let me follow him around all day.”
Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagles center, explained that the experience was incredibly enlightening. “To be able to go on his show and promote my upcoming show was great, but more than that, I got to sit down with him and learn. He walked me through the ins and outs of hosting a late-night show—how to talk into the camera, choose topics, and prepare. It was honestly a very beneficial trip.”
Jason’s brother and podcast co-host, Travis Kelce, 35, chimed in with his own praise for Kimmel. “I believe it, man. I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy over the summer. What a guy. You can tell he’s one of the best in the business for a reason.”
During his Nov. 21 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jason announced that he’ll be hosting a new late-night show on ESPN, set to debut next year. With Kimmel’s guidance and his natural charisma, Kelce looks ready to make his mark in the late-night arena.
