‘I’m a celebrity… get me out of here!’ Australia version cancelled after 11 years and 12 seasons - Report
‘I’m a celebrity…get me cut of here!’ According to the latest reports, Australia had an official run of 12 seasons before it was cancelled. The beloved reality show will not be airing in 2027 after the latest season aired this year in the early months. The reason behind the cut has been deemed to be financial struggles.

‘I’m a celebrity’ axed after 11 years on air

The series, which was inspired by the UK series of the same name, is finally coming to an end. Earlier this year, the final season of the famed reality show aired; however, at the time, there had only been speculation about whether it would make a comeback next year.Metro confirmed that Channel 10, which hosts the show, has officially axed the show and that this year’s season was the last one. A statement from the report read, “We have made the decision to rest I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2027 as we focus on offering our audience a range of content on all platforms. We look forward to working with Julia Morris and Robert Irwin on other projects.”The Australia chapter of the series was hosted by reality TV stars and comedians Robert Irwin and Julia Morris, and was filmed in South Africa. One of the reasons behind the cut has been attributed to financial issues, with the current format taking a lot of monetary funding in order to be made properly.
The show had also declined in viewership, which was also mentioned in the report.Sydney Morning Herald reported that there were plans to keep the show on-air; however, due to budget issues, they were unable to do so. ‘10 has been running the ruler over I’m a Celeb for months on end. They’ve been looking at every possible option to make it stack up financially, but in the end, it’ll come down to whether or not they can justify the cost”, a statement from the report cited. The UK chapter has been running successfully for around 25 years, and has been hosted by Ant and Dec since its inception in 2002.

This is such a bummer”, while another shared that “I cannot tell you the range of emotions I went through until I realised.”Another person expressed their disappointment over the news and shared that “That sucks I really enjoyed watching this show, which was funny and heart wrenching,” while another added, “Wow wrong move channel 10 sorry very disappointing.” Many people also talked about how one of their most favourite shows was getting booted.
