Emmys 2018: Here are the final list of nominations

The nominations for the 70th annual Emmy Awards were announced on July 11. This year's nominations were a mixed bag, with some old picks and new contenders in the running, which were announced by actors Samaira Wiley and Ryan Eggold.

Among the regulars this season were shows like

Westworld

, The Americans, Saturday Night Live and Silicon Valley and This Is Us which secured top nominations while previous Emmy winners including Veep, Modern Family were left out of the contention.

Former Greys Anatomy star Sandra Oh, who made her big small screen comeback with the show Killing Eve became the first Asian women to secure an

Emmy nomination

in the leading actress category. Singer and songwriter John Legend, star of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar also won himself an nomination this year. Issa Rae, too secured her first Emmy consideration for the lead actress in a comedy series, Insecure. Westworld was one of the shows which got maximum nominations this year. Fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" has earned 22 nominations this year while celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain was nominated posthumously for "Parts Unknown".
