Indian Television actors as Game of Thrones characters
Game of Thrones is probably the most popular Television show in the world and every country would want to have a version of their own George RR Martin's epic fantasy. One of the best things about the show is the cast, it has a wonderful blend of actors who fit in the characters perfectly and make them come alive. While some of them have too much honour, some have none and most of them are human and have both positive and negative traits. The 5th season of the show began on April 12, 2015, and has been trending ever since.

Let's have a look at Indian TV actors who we think should be a part of the Indian edition of the Game of Thrones...

Ronit Roy as Ned Stark: The show starts with the inspiring figure of Eddard 'Ned' Stark. Who better than one of Television's most popular and talented actors, Ronit Roy to play the honorable Lord of Winterfell. Ronit Roy is a known face on the Indian television and people would be able to relate to him immediately. He can be the face of the show, drawing the audience to find out what the show is all about.
Shweta Tiwari as Catelyn Stark: Ned Stark's better half and the Lady of Winterfell, Catelyn Stark (Tully) can be played by Shweta Tiwari. She will bring the required strength and intelligence to the character, as well as the ego and jealousy that comes with it. Besides, Ronit Roy and Shweta Tiwari have starred together on the show, Kasautii...Zindagi Kay. Their jodi was appreciated and the two might want to repeat the success story.
Rohit Roy as Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish: Lord Baelish, the master of coins, is one of the most cunning and intelligent characters in the show. An actor of Rohit Roy's caliber would be ideal to essay the complex character. And of course the first big moment of the show sees him betraying Lord Eddard, what better thrill for the viewers than to see Rohit Roy turning on his real-life brother. Indian audience loves drama and the headlines that this clash will make is surely worth every tip on the TRP scale!
Satish Shah as Robert Baratheon: King Robert Baratheon has a small but very strong and powerful stint on the show. He is big, funny and emotionally driven. He is impulsive and he is Ned Stark's best friend. There cannot be a better man than Satish Shah who can play Robert. We also think Satish Shah comes as close as we can get to Robert Baratheon's appearance.
Vikram Gokhale as Tywin Lannister: The ruthless, proud and arrogant Lord Tywin Lannister is a figure of authority - somebody no one dares to disobey. Vikram Gokhale is has made a name for himself in Indian TV and film industry by portraying characters with similar traits. He would be immensely fetching as the Lord of Casterly Rock and the biggest nemesis of the Starks.
Sayantani Ghosh as Cersei Lannister: Queen Cersei is one of the most hated characters of the show. She is spiteful and seeks revenge. She is also a character who would go any lengths to protect the rights of her family. Sayantani Ghosh has done negative roles with ease and also has the looks to fit in as the queen. The actress also doesn't hesitate to experiment and can be seen taking up the unconventional roles that come her way.
Karan Mehra as Jaime Lannister: Cersei's twin brother, Jaime Lannister, is one of the most hated characters in the first couple of seasons of the show. In fact the first conflict arrives with 'The things he does for love.' Karan Mehra has done both positive and negative roles and would be an ideal candidate for the role. 'The Kingslayer,' as he is called, has a wonderful graph and it would take a very good actor to make it believable.
Lilliput as Tyrion Lannister: Easily the most popular Game of Thrones character is The Imp - Tyrion Lannister, son of Tywin and brother of Cersei and Jaime. He is the only loved character of the 'House Lannister' and most of his quotes are memorable. But finding an ideal actor to fit into his large shoes is really difficult. Peter Dinklage has won multiple awards for his portrayal of Tyrion and in India if there is any one actor who can be a match, it is the veteran actor, Lilliput.
Adaa Khan as Daenerys Targaryen: Once again an extremely popular character. Daenerys Targaryn has an amazing character graph. She transforms from the timid sister to the conqueror and savior of the masses; from a woman who loses her child and husband to becoming the 'Mother of the Dragons.' Adaa Khan has been experimenting with her roles, and has played a princess before. So there's no doubt that she'd do justice to Khaleesi.
