Dorit Kemsley is bringing an unfiltered and raw perspective to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, as she addresses her separation from husband Paul “PK” Kemsley and her strained friendship with
Kyle Richards. However, fans of the Bravo hit show almost didn’t get to see these pivotal storylines, as Dorit initially decided not to return this season.
During a candid conversation with RHOBH executive producer Alex Baskin on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, Dorit, 48, revealed that she informed producers of her decision to leave the series before filming began. “I had told Alex that I wasn’t going to come back,” she shared. Yet, just 24 hours later, she changed her mind.
The turning point came after a conversation with her husband, PK. “I remember PK saying something to me like, ‘Well, you have to do it,’” Dorit recalled. Initially, the suggestion didn’t sit well with her. “When I heard him say, ‘You have to do it,’ it was about wanting to take back that control. I thought, ‘Oh no no no no no. This is going to be my decision. I’m the one who is doing it.’” This shift in mindset ultimately led her to reclaim the choice and return to the show.
Now, with Season 14 underway, Dorit is prepared to face her challenges head-on, ensuring that her journey resonates with Bravo fans while offering a deeper look into her life and relationships.
