'Doctor Who' season 11 to have fewer but longer episodes
The next installment of "Doctor Who" will have fewer but longer episodes as Jodie Whitaker takes the baton from Peter Capaldi to feature as the first female Time Lord of the sci-fi series.
The new show by BBC One will have 10 chapters - two fewer than the 12 episodes the past three series have had, according to a daily.
The shorter series, however, is made up by longer episodes, with each episode planned to be of one-hour-long duration rather than that of the usual 45 minutes.

Digital Spy reached out to the channel that airs it to confirm the new but they declined to comment.
"Doctor Who" will air on Christmas Day in the UK and USA both.
