Todd Meadows, one of the crew members who featured on the hit reality show ‘Deadliest Catch’, passed away earlier this month. His passing was confirmed by his partner, Kennedy, and his ship captain, though the cause of his passing was not revealed. Now, as per the latest reports online, his untimely demise is being extensively looked into by the appropriate authorities.

Todd Matthews demise under investigation

The 25-year-old passed away on February 25, and while initially no details about his passing had been shared, new updates have been shared. PEOPLE reported that the United States Coast Guard Arctic District issued an official statement about the matter on March 3.

They revealed that the man had been on his ship when he went overboard in Alaska. The statement further read, “Coast Guard watchstanders at the Arctic District command center in Juneau received notification from the fishing vessel Aleutian Lady, reporting that a crew member by the name of Todd Meadows fell overboard approximately 170 miles north of Dutch Harbor.”More details were provided about the matter, and revealed that he had been later on found unresponsive by medical staff. He was found within 10 minutes, and while all resuscitation methods were used, the man had already passed away.
As for the investigation, the coast guard cited that they fully investigate everything, and they also added that they investigate “marine casualties and accidents to uncover their causes and initiate necessary corrective actions.

Todd Meadows’ bunkmate opens up about his friend’s passing

In another interview with Trey John Green III, a fellow star from ‘Deadliest Catch’, as well as Meadows’ bunkmate, also shared his feelings about the matter. He shared with US Weekly that “unfortunately [it] ended in tragedy,” referring to Meadows going overboard.
