Brooke Burke and Derek Hough are one of the most popular duos in the history of Dancing with The Stars. They lifted the trophy in the season 2008 and won many hearts with their chemistry in the dancing reality show. In a recent interview, she opened up about her bond with Derek and why she was once tempted to have an ‘affair’ or a ‘fling’ on the sets of Dancing With the Stars.
In a recent podcast, Brooke mentioned how ‘magical’ her experience was with Derek. She walked down the memory lane and recalled how the two used to spend majority of their time together while dancing and participating. She also talked about her feelings for him in the time.
Brooke said that she felt Derek was young and safe for her. The actress, who was married to David Charvet at thar time, revealed that if she wasn’t with him (David), she would have tried her luck with Derek.
She said, "I would have had an affair with him," Brooke reiterated. But listen, let me tell you why: You are intertwined with someone's body when you're not a dancer. There is no way that I have ever been so connected — besides with a lover or a husband — than I was with Derek. And it's every single day. So for three months, you are in someone's arms. Why do you think people fall in love? You smell them, you feel them, you're breathing with them. It can be more intimate than making love in a bedroom — you're making love on a dance floor, you feel more connected.”
Brooke revealed being “tempted” by Derek all the time. She then concluded her experience saying that she never felt such a thing for anybody else in her life. The actress even confirmed that her former husband encouraged her to get closer to Derek.
