Dakota Fanning to star in 'The Alienist'

Actress Dakota Fanning is all geared up to appear in the thriller, "The Alienist".
The TNT network broke the news at the Television Critics Association's press tour on Saturday, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The 22-year-old actress will play Sara Howard, who is a strong-willed secretary on police commissioner Theodore Roosevelt's team and wants to become New York City's first female police detective.

The plot of the show is based on Caleb Carr's best-selling book of the same name, "The Alienist".
It is a psychological thriller set in the Gilded Age of New York City in 1896 which is witness to a string of ghastly murders of boy prostitutes that have left the city shocked.
"The Alienist" will premiere in late 2017 on TNT.
