CBS recently announced that popular TV show Young Sheldon will return for a seventh and final season in 2024 and that made the fans upset. The series become a big hit ever since it premiered in 2017. The parent showThe success of Young Sheldon was certainly fueled by its parent show, The Big Bang Theory, the series found that its own voice and earned a devoted audience. Airing 127 episodes till date, Young Sheldon gave Big Bang audience a chance to dive deeper into the show’s universe and history. The Big Bang Theory is considered to be a big reason why the show initially did so well.
The premier dateThe seventh season will premiere on Feb. 15, 2024, and will have 14 episodes. It’s final episode will be on May 16, 2024. It also confirmed that Young Sheldon’s series finale will be an hour long. In the announcement, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, revealed, “We look forward to seeing their final season unfold and giving it a proper send off with the best episodes yet for their fans to enjoy.”
How Young Sheldon’s cast reacted to the show wrapping upAfter hearing the news about the final season, the Young Sheldon cast shared posts on social media and expressed their feelings on the same. Armitage wrote, “We will make the best 7th season we can possibly make- and behind the scenes there will be lots of laughter and lots of tears because I love all of these people so much.” Potts captioned his post, “After seven fabulous, hilarious, fulfilling years, 'Young Sheldon' will say goodbye. It's a bittersweet moment.” Raegan Revord, who plays Missy said, “I will say more later, but right now I am feeling so so heartbroken, but also so grateful.”
