As per the report, a ‘Panorama’ episode where the contestants agree to make a joke out of weddings, and then are later shown living together.The BBC also reported on the matter and cited that Channel 4 has officially commissioned an external review into the famed TV show after the allegations surfaced. The step was taken after the channel was presented with “serious allegations of wrongdoing.” They have cited that the respective review is being done by a leading law firm and a media executive.Three women who had featured on the show at one time or another came forward with their allegations about their ‘on-screen’ husbands. Two women stated that they had been raped during their filming of the show, while the third woman alleges that she faced non-consensual sexual harassment. One of the women who cited that she was raped and then threatened with an acid attack wishes to file a report against the production company that houses ‘Married at First Sight UK.’The second woman who accused her on-screen husband on the show of raping her cited in the report that both the channel and the production house were made aware of what had happened. However, her episode was still aired.The channel also issued a statement, citing that they are looking into the matter. However, they also stated in their report that “They are obviously very serious allegations.
