Wife Sanjukta remembers late actor Abhishek Chatterjee on his birth anniversary

It's actor Abhishek Chatterjee’s birth anniversary today (April 30). Abhishek, who ruled Tollywood as a romantic hero in the 80s-90s and later went on to feature in a number of popular Bengali daily soaps, passed away on March 24. Wife Sanjukta shared an emotional note remembering her late husband on his birth anniversary.

It's actor Abhishek Chatterjee’s birth anniversary today (April 30). Abhishek, who ruled Tollywood as a romantic hero in 80s-90s and later went on to feature in a number of popular Bengali daily soaps, passed away on March 24. Wife Sanjukta shared an emotional note remembering her late husband on his birth anniversary.
She took to Abhishek’s social media handle to share a heart-touching note which reads- ‘Every women's' dream - a doting husband and a caring father.
That's what you are... that's what you will always be. I love you more by the days.... Love can't do us apart. Happy Birthday my dear. Sic.’

Abhishek’s colleagues, friends from the entertainment industry, and admirers also remembered the actor with moist eyes. The senior actor, who was more popular by the name ‘Mithu Da’, was known for his affable and helpful nature.
Abhishek was busy with TV projects ‘Ismart Jodi’ and ‘Khorkuto’, prior to his untimely demise. Wife Sanjukta and Abhishek were the participants of Jeet hosted couple-based reality show ‘Ismart Jodi’. Abhishek’s condition deteriorated when he was on the shooting sets of the show. He couldn’t shoot for the episode and decided to go back home. Later, at late night, Abhishek breathed his last at his home.
His untimely departure has left a void in the entertainment industry. Abhishek is survived by his wife Sanjukta and daughter Doll.
Speaking about his career, Abhishek made his debut with the movie ‘Pathbhola’ directed by Tarun Majumder. It also featured Utpal Dutt, Sandhya Roy, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Tapas Paul and it was recently screened at 27th Kolkata International Film Festival as a homage to the late actor. Later, he did many hit Bengali movies and paired opposite almost all leading ladies of his time. ‘Pita’, ‘Chokher Tara Tui’, ‘Mohor’, ‘Phagun Bou’, and ‘Khorkuto’ are some of his noteworthy television shows.
