Bengali audiences are in for a mixed platter of entertainment ahead. Right from family drama, love story, social drama to reality shows- the makers are ready to woo the viewers with different genres. Among these, the upcoming show ‘Nayika No. 1’ has an interesting storyline. The show follows protagonist Sheetala Sikdar, who prefers to be addressed as Shila and her dreams. The bubbly girl works as a junior artist and dreams to make it big in the entertainment industry. Although the journey of an aspiring actor who steps into showbiz and works as a junior artist isn’t really a bed of roses, Shila keeps her hopes high. She believes that one day she will be the most sought-after heroine. She keeps her hopes high and feels she is the one who will take the legacy of Tollywood forward as heroine.
Sheetala’s character is played by Ritobrota Dey, who was seen in the recently concluded television drama ‘Kanyadaan’. Ritobrota played actor Arindam Ganguly’s reel daughter in the Bengali remake of hit Tamil soap opera ‘Metti Oli’. The Bengali show featured Priya Malakar, Deepsheta Mitra, Swapnila Chakraborty, Laboni Ghosh and Ritobrota as reel sisters.
Ritobrota, who played a doting daughter in her previous project, is currently prepping up to entertain the audience as Shila.
Ritobrota will be paired opposite actor Indranil Chatterjee in ‘Nayika No. 1’. This is the first time the duo will share the screen as a pair. Prior to this, Indranil was featured in two very popular television shows including ‘Aay Tobe Sohochori’ and ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’.
