Her one smile is worth dying for! No wonder, she ruled Bollywood with elan and her popularity defy geographical boundaries. The dancing queen made her entry with ‘Ek Do Teen’ and went on to set the stage on fire with her dancer performances. The actress made the event really special when she joined Kavita Krishnamurthy and recited the 'bol' from ‘Dhai Shyam Rok Lai’. One of the finalists sang ‘Kahe Chhero’ from the movie ‘Devdas’ and later requested Kavita Krishnamurthy to sing a few lines. While the melody queen sang the song, Madhuri accompanied her in ‘Bol’ and couldn’t stop her but cast a spell with her expressions.

​Eloquence and wittiness:

Madhuri’s charming persona, eloquence and wit simply won the hearts. Smitten by her beauty host Jisshu forgot his line and guest Kavita Krishnamurthy asked about the magic spell did she cast on him. Our very handsome host tried to explain how he forgot everything soon after seeing Madhuri and his heart is beating faster. Referring to her famous song ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga’ the witty actress said, “Dhak Dhak toh mera karna chahiye aapka kyun?” Everyone on the floor, including Jisshu burst into laughter. Later, host Jisshu confessed that he isn’t fluent in Hindi and asked the actress whether she can speak Bengali. ​Tribute to Mahanayika Suchitra Sen

Many cine lovers find a resemblance between legendary actress Suchitra Sen and Madhuri. And the very reason makes the actress closer to ‘aam Bangali’. And the actress is aware of it. She said, “I am a big admirer of her (Suchitra Sen). I know many find a resemblance between her and me. They say, I remind them of the legendary actress when I smile or turn and give a look from certain angle. Those compliments make me really happy. I think, my fans from Kolkata love me because they love her. But she is the best and no one can be better than her.” Bengali film star Dev too requested her to perform. Dev said, “We weren’t fortunate enough to see her perform in front of our eyes. But we will be really happy if you please perform to her songs.”

And Madhuri did oblige to everyone’s request and paid a tribute to the iconic actress and performed some of Suchitra Sen’s ever-green songs including ‘Tumi Je Amar’, ‘Jhonok Jhonok Konok Kakon Baje’ and others. And yet again, she managed to cast a spell. (Photo: Facebook)

​Remembering late actor Tapas Paul

The actress shares a nostalgic connection with Bengal. During the shoot of Super Singer Season 3, Madhuri went a bit nostalgic and she spoke about her bond with Bengal and fondly remembered her ‘first hero’, Tapas Paul. She said, “I am really happy to be here. My bond with Bengal is very beautiful and it goes long back. The hero of my very first film was Tapas Paul. He was from Bengal and our director Sri Hiren Nag was also from here. How can I forget! ​ ‘Ami Tomake Bhalobasi’

Yes! She did speak in Bengali too. She lauded Kumar Gourab for his performance and later said ‘Ami Tomake Bhalobasi’.
